Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has on Saturday strongly condemned the suicide blast during the ANP workers' meeting in Peshawar, and expressed sorrow over the sad demise of Kyber Pakthtunkhwa's Senior Minister Bashir Ahmed Bilour and seven other persons.

PTI's Chairman Imran Khan said the party condemned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan that had claimed the responsibility of the attack and their approach of violence as a weapon to achieve their reprehensible ends. "The government has failed miserably in controlling law and order situation in the country, which is evident from this condemnable incident," he added.

He expressed his deep sorrow over the sad demise of Bashir Ahmed Bilour and said PTI valued his efforts for peace in the country and war against terrorism. He also prayed for the repose of the souls of those who had lost their lives in that unjustifiable dastardly act and commiserated with their families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
